Marina and the Diamonds

Marina and the Diamonds, despite the name sounding like a band, is the solo project of  welsh singer-songwriter Marina Diamandis. I didn't start noticing her until her sophomore release of Electra Heart which was an instant love for me. I think her lyrics are fantastic and interesting and her voice is stunning and quite unique. Her style is catchy and she tends towards electropop music despite her first album being more new wave esque. I've played Electra Heart so many times and it still hasn't worn out for me. I do also like her first album "The Family Jewels" as well. If anyone loves fresh pop music, then she is a must listen. I posted the acoustic versions of her songs because they are quite lovely. ♥
