Morning Musume actually releases something I like automatically.

Nobody really knows if this was their new single since it's unannounced.
[Okay, just after that, this has been announced as their new single.]

 I already like it more than their past three singles which is something I didn't expect.

This is the first time I don't feel disappointed with a new song.

They are really sticking with a consistent style with these releases. The dance and the song are giving me 123/Wakuteka/Help Me vibes all mixed together.. Riho is amazing. She really shines here. I love her little dance battle with Ayumin. It seems everyone got a little chance to show themselves. I could not spot Oda and kept getting her and Eripon confused. Her voice did surprise me a little. It seems to fit in good. It's sad about the lack of Reina and Sayu but they are slowly edging them out. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of Reina for her last single but I'm sure she'll get her chance on a b-side.

The only problem I have with the choreography is those little head bobbing movements from WTaC, it's far too similar. Also, the little warm wormy wavy things. I'm sure there was some ways they could incorporate the moves they wanted a little more elegantly.

Their outfits are much better than previous singles, imo. Simple is better and classier to me and I'm not a fan of their recent gaudy and flashy costumes. This makes them look like a real group and not just 'idol'. 

Usually I really dislike their cheap backgrounds but this one is trendy looking.

Their outfits are cool. The song is cool. The dancing is cool.

It's not perfect but it's a lot better than I have come to expect from Momusu.

Aaaah~ I'm so happy with this unexpected release. ♥

I've been really addicted to Poupee the past month !

Crazy since I haven't played in the past two years. . .

 I finally changed my hair style ! My poupee has never had short hair, I don't think, so I thought this would be cute. Since I dressed up every day in February, I think I may bite the bullet and buy jewels. I used to be so abhorently against the idea of them since they were first introduced but I see it as a special treat once a month. There are lots of cute things that expire tomorrow so I'll post about them if I buy them in time~♥ 

Mano Erina

 

 Mano Erina has graduated from Hello ! Project.

I have followed her since before she debuted and remembered her when she was still in Ongaku Gatas. I honestly didn't pay attention to her and when her indies singles came out I was slightly intrigued. The whole "idol who plays piano" thing appealed to me since piano is one of my favourite instruments. When Manopiano came out, I really enjoyed it but her singing voice was never my favourite. Even her personality didn't stand out and she never seemed to get too popular. I still enjoy quite a few of her singles still even though she had a very subdued aura. I think her beauty stands out for me more and she reminds me a little of past soloist Goto Maki. She will still be missed as she was the only soloist in Hello ! Project for the past few years and though it is always sad during graduations, it seemed like her time. 
She will always be my Mano Piano ! ♥

Level 80

Have finally made it to level 80 in Guild Wars.

Took me long enough since launch. I took a break around October and I didn't really play much since then. I am now discovering later zones and attempting my first dungeons. I am really into the game again~ It is fun! I wanted to try other classes but I just can't seem to shake wanting to play Elementalist. Mesmers are pretty and have cute skills and I'd like to try an armour heavy class but it's hard for me to make that switch. After I finish the story mode, I think I will start leveling an alt. The dailies got a bit more interesting as they switch up daily and I don't find them as hard to accomplish. Having the daily and monthly incentives are nice and give me a reason to play the game. They are always keeping it interesting~♥

Melon Kinenbi

Ah, Melon Kinebi. One of my favourite Hello Project groups also known as the old forgotten group that managed to last a decade.  They had one of the most interesting styles in all of Hello Project and debuted when Morning Musume was still in it's prime in 2000. They finally disbanded in 2010 but not before releasing an awesome collaboration album ! I thought all of the girls were unique in their own ways and happened to not be idols in an agency dominated by them towards the end. They had the same lineup for the entirety of their career and released 3 albums. I always thought their performances were fun to watch and their songs really pumped up crowds at Hello ! Project concerts. I always wonder if Berryz or C-ute will head in the same direction since the members of Melons lasted until their late 20's. They are often compared when people think of the disbandment that may come in the next for years for the Hello ! Project groups. Some think they may last that long but personally I don't think they will.

Melon Kinenbi was a Japanese pop group under the Hello! Project umbrella. Picked from an audition in 1999, they released their first single in February 2000. Their activity slowed in the following years, releasing only a single a year after 2005, but they continued to make appearances and tour the country.

The members, unchanged since their debut, included leader Hitomi Saito (斉藤瞳), sub-leader Megumi Murata (村田めぐみ), Masae Otani (大谷雅恵), and Ayumi Shibata (柴田あゆみ).

Aural Vampire

I discovered this duo through a post on an old japanese music site I used to go on a few years ago. I still don't really know how I'd tag this group but they definitely have an interesting electronic (mixed with new wave and industrial) sound that I can't find much elsewhere with female vocals in japanese groups. It seems they classify themselves as darkwave. I listen to them quite often and I feel like it suits most of my every moods. Unfortunately they only have two albums with the last one coming out in 2010. They did release an EP called Kerguelen Vortex in December 2011. Now it seems they have established themselves as a band adding four new members which I currently haven't heard.

Aural Vampire is a industrial/electronic duo from Tokyo, Japan formed by Exo-Chika (vocals, lyrics) and Raveman (keyboards/synths, composition). Both members knew each other since highschool, where they were classmates and shared their interests in western horror movies, digital hardcore music style and peculiar art. After they finished school, both started making music. Later they decided to form Aural Vampire, where Exo-Chika is in the role of a vampire and Raveman in the role of a butcher.

Now, I have decided to find one for me and my boyfriend since he is a Libra.

Pottermore

After rewatching Harry Potter, I decided to sign up for Pottermore once again. I got into Beta when it first came out but since there was only a chapter or two I didn't really bother. Now, it's already on Prisoner of Azkaban. So fast. . . It also forces you to use a few usernames and I got one with cat in the name~

I didn't manage to take the sorting quiz last time and now I have.

I might even join him. I'd have to buy all the books though. I only own a strange number of them. Just Chamber of Secrets, Goblet of Fire and HBP and DH. I need the other ones~ 

Ipsy February 2013

Posting about Ipsy bag a little late this month. I got it around the 13th which is pretty normal. Some others have been delayed quite a bit and still haven't received it ! It was quite varied this month. We ended up getting spoilers at the end of January which I don't think they planned and some people were quite disappointed with what they saw in the preview. I'll admit, it didn't look too exciting but it didn't make me want to cancel my subscription ! For 10$ it was worth giving everything a try. There is also a wait list now and I don't want to risk not being able to get an amazing month just in case something happens. Even though the products were a little more basic this month, they were still nice staples. I wasn't terribly impressed with the theme as I wanted something a bit more flirty and cute and pink for February but the theme this month was "Red Carpet Ready". I still really love the packaging they come in every month. Very cute !

This was everything that came in the bag this month. There were five items which seems to be the staple now. This month was a lot more focused on the eyes. The only big disappointment is the lash cards. They seem like such a filler item. The other products seemed fairly basic and worth a try. The bag itself smelled kind of funny and had a weird texture as it was a patent leather type of material. The lining was a nice red but overall it isn't very nice and seems cheap. Oh well, I'm not in it for the bag anyways.

♥ Coastal Scents Shadow Palette Sampler [Mini Size | Value ~2$]

These came in two options that you could receive. I'm quite happy that I received the grey shadow quad. The other option was a golden/yellow/bronze quad that I know I wouldn't have been able to work well. I'm not great at eye shadow to begin with but it will be nice trying them and attempting to do a nice smokey eye. These shadows are very mini and about the size of a dime. 

♥ Pixi Flawless and Poreless Primer [Deluxe Size | Value ~14.50$]

Ipsy gave us a full sized primer in the December bag but since I don't use them or know much I'm happy to receive them to try them out. I don't really know how well this is supposed to work since I don't have much to compare it to besides the Mirabella primer. I'm not a big fan of it so far and it seems to have a weird lotion like texture and I seem to need a bit to apply it on my face. It didn't also do much to reduce pores. I'll give it a few more tries before I have a conclusive impression on it.

♥ POP Smokey Lash Kapow Mascara [Deluxe Size | Value ~12.50$]

The design of this mascara is cute and it's miniature size is also pretty cute. I thought this was a nice basic mascara that makes my lashes stand out a bit more. There seems to be quite a mixed opinion on this but for me, it works for now. It isn't unspectacular at lengthening and volumizing lashes, but it does a decent job.

♥ Micabeauty Gel Eyeliner [Full Size | Value 30$]

This seems to be the most expensive item in the bag. I'm not quite sure though since there isn't a size labeled on the product and this is just a guess among people. This is a really nice black eyeliner. It doesn't come with a brush so having an eyeliner brush is a must. This liner is incredibly pigmented and really creamy. It goes on extremely easily and seems to have great staying power. This is my favourite object of the bunch ! 

♥ Lash Card [Deluxe Size | Value ~2.80$]

I really don't like this object. This comes with four cards with two different shapes on each end. They are supposed to be one use which seems like a waste of money. I feel like you would waste more mascara using these since it'll end up all over the cards. You'd need to be incredibly awful at applying mascara to get intended use out of these. Oh well.. I may try them one day and maybe they will surprise me, but probably not. Seems more like a novelty if anything.

Overall, for the 10$ price tag, it's totally worth the money. With the deluxe sizes and the full size objects, you always have something new to try that will last you quite awhile. The worth of this bag was around ~60 dollars. A very good deal even if everything didn't appeal to me (aka the lash cards) but for trying a new mascara, eyeshadows, primer and a liner, it's worth it. February is also a short month so we should already start seeing previews for March's bag around two weeks from now. I am hoping for something a little more bright than they have been the past couple of months.

2 Year Anniversary

Had a lovely day yesterday. It was mine and my boyfriend's two year anniversary. It was a very lovely start to the day ! After that we ended up going to an Indian restaurant which was very nice. He knows how much I love Indian food and it was my first time having it in years, it seems. We also ended up getting ice cream. We were going to go out to dinner once again later for sushi but I was still too full from earlier. I was told I'll get a belated sushi present later ♥

Overall, the day was really lovely and it was a nice surprise.

Later the evening, he told me to relax in the room for awhile. After a couple of hours he told me to close my eyes and to sit down on the couch. When I opened my eyes there was candles everywhere. It was really beautiful and romantic looking ! There was music playing and the atmosphere was lovely.

On the coffee table there was lots of things laid out. It was nice and I didn't expect such things. > _ <

Cookies, wine, pictures and presents !

Really cute ! I was surprised by all the things. There was also a little bunny picture underneath the cookies that said "Some Bunny Loves You" 

Chocolates and cookies he made for me ! He isn't much of a baker but they were delightful. He even decorated them cutely and tried to make cute shapes ! The frosting was glittery which was really cute. There was even little teddy candy decorations. There was still batter leftover so we made more cookies together.

Also a little unicorn plushie ! 

And a little art kit I saw at the store a bit ago. I thought it would be cute for us to have that present so we could decorate our own little person~ It is sweet he remembered.

Also got the last two Harry Potter movies to finish the collection ! I was very happy.

The best thing was this picture frame with all these pictures of us ! So sweet. .

We don't have any pictures of ourselves anywhere in the apartment and I liked the addition of our sweet kitties as well. I hope to print out more pictures from past events and hang them around. ♥

Overall, it was a very sweet day and I really appreciate the effort he put into making it special for me.
