Probably my most rushed dub ever but it is my fault for waiting 'til the final hours of the 31st! Started recording, editing and mixing at 9pm and uploaded sometime around 10:30pm so this is also probably my fastest one. I made it a goal to do a dub at least once a month and though I figured I could wait until April and just do two, I needed to get it done! Also, since Berryz graduated in March, I really wanted to cover a Berryz song and what other than Special Generation!
I made a loooot of pronunciation errors especially in the second verse but I am still happy with how it turned out with how little time I had to get it done. I will try to make my next one much better! I am going to go for a Sakura themed song, probably one of the AKB spring singles but I am not sure which one to tackle yet.
Honestly, I feel this makes me sadder than Berryz lol~
I joined Poupee Girl back in 2008.. I stuck with it for a long time
It just feels sad saying good-bye to my little Poupee
and back in 2013 when they stopped updating
this sort of thing was to be expected but ahhh
it still makes me very sad.
Here are some of my last dress-ups on Poupee Girl
And my very last one~
Bye bye~

Got a new external HDD in the mail~!
It is SO small, the last one I bought was years ago
Back in.. 2008? That still works because I use it just for storage.
BUT! I decided I really need a newer one to back up a lot of data
It is so cute and teeny! and I love that it doesn't need to be plugged in
I'm just really excited to have a new external to use~!
I have some cute panda stickers I wanna put all over it.

Haven't blogged in a few days~
Or posted on Instagram much lately... I don't know, but I just don't really have the motivation to at the moment. The weather is dreary and I feel very tired and cold all the time in addition to my sleeping schedule being off. Also, since we are car-less at the moment, I'm not really actively collecting or at least doll shopping with the exception of online. I do have some dolls coming in the mail tomorrow however so that should be fun. I'm just dealing with other things at the moment that take up most of my time~ I want to get back into the groove again soon.
Last month was my first month subscribed and honestly I wasn't too impressed with the last box despite the premise appealing to me a lot. This month was different however and I seem to like everything in this box! A lot of the items definitely appealed to me and many had a definite cuteness factor. You can find a video of the unboxing here~
And here is what was inside of the box!
First of all, the laminate that comes inside the box~
I like that they include a comic that pokes fun at the delays
Fujiwa Milky
I feel that I have tried this cute snack before and when I taste it, the flavour is super familiar but it's one of those things where I'm not quite 100% sure. What I do know though is that the packaging is adorable and it's a very tasty candy!
Look a la Mode Chocolates
Haven't tried this one yet but it has a pretty decent size and extremely yellow packaging! Reminds me of No Name packaging. I'm sure this will be pretty yummy but I'm not a huge fan of chocolate with filling.
Anpanman Pero Pero Lollipop
I'm not super familiar with this anime but this is an adorable package with a melonpan on it wearing what looks to be a superhero costume. It seems Melon flavour though which I am not a fan of so this will go to the boyfriend~
Chocolate Umbrella
This one is neat because it's an umbrella! It seems really pointy and pokey too. I love that it has a handle and this was available in two flavours - Strawberry or Milk and I got the Milk one. I'm assuming milk as in milk chocolate and not white chocolate but I can't be sure as I have not opened it yet...
Takoyaki Gummy DIYand Kabaya Panda Cookie DIY
The two DIY kits! The one on the right came in the Premium kit and I think it's really neat that it's a cookie making kit. I'll have to look the directions for this one up as I don't want to mess it up. The takoyaki gummy kit also looks really fun but so far, I haven't been a fan of the actual taste of the gummy kits but maybe this one will prove me wrong.
Fit's Gum
This one doesn't match the laminate as they have stated on their website. I don't mind this change as it seems to be a flavour that appeals to me a little bit more being Peach & Yogurt. I really like the unicorn on the packaging as well.
Glico Matcha Green Tea Collon
These look a lot like combo's as said from boyfriend and honestly I really love matcha flavour things so I am sure I will really like these as well.
Calpico Giant Panda Ice Cream Cone
A biscuit cookie cone shaped like an ice cream! The packaging is really cute and pretty unique. Supposed to be ice cream cookie flavoured, I really look forward to eating this one!
Suntory C. C. Lemon
This seems to be a lemonade drink and I really love lemonade so I look forward to drinking this one! The packaging is very bright yellow as well and boasts the amount of vitamin C it contains.
Country Ma'am Vanilla Cookie
A cookie with chocolate chips on the inside! I found it amusing that the font of the country ma'am matches the same font of the margarine here. Haven't eaten this yet but I'm sure it will be really yummy. I really like cookies.
Bonus item!
SuperMarioChocolate Pop
They have stated that they would add bonus items to the March and April crates and this one is a pretty neat item! It is a Mario head that I don't even want to take out of the packaging because it looks too cool to eat.
Anyways, that is the end of all of the things in the Japan Crate!
There were 12 items in this crate which was pretty great!
I am actually looking forward to eating/drinking everything in this box
Everything seems pretty delicious and I'm really looking forward to next month~!
Been trying to actively fix my sleeping schedule.. I feel that I am naturally much more of a night owl and I feel more productive but I don't think it is that good for me in the long run since I also need to do things during the day! I finally just sucked it up and stayed up for a full 24+ hours yesterday and finally went to sleep around 7pm and woke up around 5am. Not the best, but I think as long as I try to stay up a little longer each night, it should be okay (unless the cycle starts over again, booo~) I am very sleepy now and it's only 1:30pm so it will take me awhile to get used to..
Thought I'd do this for fun and list my favourite Monster High dolls from each year. It doesn't necessarily mean I own all of these dolls, but they're the ones that I think are the bee's knees and that I would like to own if I could. I'll do it by yearly order so it isn't just a massive list. These will only be in the order of release and not in order of preference because that is just way too hard.
Basic Draculaura
(I own the Original Favourites Rerelease)
I love this doll because of her pseudo-victorian look and I just love her colour scheme because I just really fancy the black/pink combo. I love her parasol (though it is non functioning) and her adorable pet Count Fabulous. Just from looking at her, she's definitely a cute character with her pigtails and the heart on her cheek. Overall, she's a solid doll and a really great Signature for her character.
Basic Lagoona Blue
(I own the original Signature and Rerelease)
I own the original version of this doll that I got off of Craigslist that I'm pretty sure is complete. Though current Lagoona dolls don't do much to "Wow" me, I do really like her Signature release. She has a sporty look and I love that her bag is a fishbowl with her pet Neptuna in it. I think this is also a great starting doll for the character and really sets up how her personality is.
Black and White Frankie Stein
(Do not own)
I chose this one over her original Basic because I think this one is more interesting. It pays a definite homage to her Frankenstein origins and I think it was a really neat idea for this original exclusive doll. I own her original Basic and the Original Favourites version of her but this one continues to be my favourite of the bunch.
Dawn of the Dance Clawdeen Wolf
(Do not own)
Only three Dawn of the Dance ghouls came out in 2010 but this one remains my favourite of the three because this was the first doll with outrageously coloured hair (I mean, look at how lime green it is!) This was the first doll to showcase one of many of Clawdeen's bright and vibrant hair colours and I absolutely love it. I love her green/purple colour scheme that would become some of her signature colours and I think this is a fantastic doll.
Basic Ghoulia Yelps
(Own the rerelease)
My last pick for this year goes to Ghoulia Yelps, this cute and retro zombie chick. She has a punk vibe to her that is definitely cool down to her shoes and her bag. I love her cute 50's shades and her owl Sir Hoots a Lot. Overall, she is definitely a solid doll and a great starter for the dolls to come after the original Ghouls. I bought the original Ghoulia at a garage sale and own various pieces of her stock and her owl but she's not complete. I hope to get the Original Favourites pack with her in it so I can have a complete Ghoulia!
Anyways, these are my choices for the year 2010! Not many dolls came out this year but it was a solid start to this franchise with all of the dolls having a cool and unique aspect to them. I didn't become a fan until about 4 years later so I wasn't there for the beginning of the Monster High craze so I don't know what toy hunting was like back then. I was also still living in Canada at the time and I don't recall if they were as popular or if they came out at the same time. I actually never saw them at the store (to be fair, I wasn't looking for them.) But, it's always fun to go back and look at these rare and interesting dolls.
