Haven't posted in the last few days...
Didn't feel so good over the weekend (^_^;)
But of course, I have to post on the day of Berryz 'Graduation'
Today is the day of Berryz Koubou final concert
I, like many other western fans were introduced to H!P through Shugo Chara which had two members of Berryz, Miyabi and Momoko. Immediately, I liked Berryz and their songs. Bearing an energetic and youthful difference to Platinum Morning Musume, I really grew to love this group. I also immediately gravitated towards Risako because I thought she was really cute and I liked her unique voice and un-idol like persona. Watching her grow as an idol has been crazy since she has changed so much over the years. Really though, they all have. I became a fan right before Dakishimetex2 came out back in 2009. It has been 6 years since the beginning of my idol journey and back then I did not think once about Berryz disbanding. In the past year it was expected for them to graduate eventually, but was very sad when it was actually announced. They were one of the groups that got me into idols and Risako still remains my favourite idol overall. Berryz remains a group with unconventional idol characters and seeing them grow throughout their idol career has been an entertaining ride. They are a unique bunch of girls who can definitely not be replicated. Though I do look forward to their successors "Kobushi Factory" nothing can replace that Berryz feeling. They have been around for over 10 years, so while this day is a sad one it is also a celebration of how much they have contributed in their times as idols. They have given many smiles and laughs over the years as well as many great songs. A lot of idols do not last as long as they do and I do not blame them for wanting to take a different path in their lives. Nevertheless, they are an amazing group and have contributed a lot to my own idol experience and countless others. They are a group that will always remain very special to me and I am happy to call myself a fan of them throughout all these years.
Anyways, I will post a song for each of their years as idols (^_^)
I will also post a solo song of each of the members !
