Sayashi Riho Graduation

Today, the current ace of Morning Musume, Sayashi Riho, graduates.

The news is really sad for me as she is my oshimen of the group and has been since her arrival almost five years ago.

I remember watching the auditions that snowy winter in 2010 on Holiday in Ottawa and sitting in bed watching the blurry live stream and thinking, "Wow, she is cute and dances well!" And now, she is graduating in a few hours...

In 2009, my first oshimen of the group, Kusumi Koharu, graduated. Until Riho joined, no other girl could replace her as my favourite. Seeing Riho in the audition, I was impressed by her dancing and her confidence. She would eventually also get the red colour that Koharu had before her. Though most were generally impressed with Riho and her talents, the word ace was thrown around which had garnered her a lot of dislike. Though she was undoubtedly the new Morning Musume ace, especially starting from 123, the stress from that title seems to have led to a quicker graduation.

The morning I woke up and read the news in my Twitter feed, I saw people talking about a Morning Musume graduation announcement and I had assumed Iikubo..? Maybe Mizuki? But I saw Riho's name and my heart dropped. Ever since Koharu's graduation, not another graduation announcement has made me feel like crying like Riho's. It just felt too soon, so sudden. She will have only been in the group for five years and I hadn't felt she hit her full potential.

As the news sunk in, I realize this is her choice and she ultimately knows what is best for her.

Though, in the end, I'm not sure how to feel about Morning Musume. I have a feeling I may sink into the type of fan I was in 2010 where I observe the group but I'm not as big a fan I once was. Maybe another Koharu/Riho will debut in the group in the future, but for now, I can't just force myself to pick another oshimen. It will be hard to watch them for awhile since I will be missing Riho's presence in the group. I don't blame other's for being excited for her departure since this will ultimately lead to a new Momusu era. It will be very different. But for me, it will only be bittersweet.

Riho is a talented, confident girl and her future looks bright even without Morning Musume. Whatever path she chooses, whether to return to a normal life, a job behind the scenes, or coming back as an entertainer; I will support her in whatever she does. As long as she is happy in her life and her decisions, that makes me a very happy fan.

The most surprising thing is that I got more Bratz dolls and Zelfs than Monster High which surprises even me. I really wasn't interested in the new Bratz lines but nostalgia took over and they really grew on me. This picture turned out not to be great quality, so sorry about that. I also took some stock images of the things I got so they're easier to see. 

Scary Tales Clawdeen

I was really excited when the Scary Tales dolls were re-released. Similar to the Dawn of the Dance re-release Black Friday releases, Toys R Us decided to go with the Target exclusive dolls. I already owned Frankie 'Threaderella' from a thrift store find nearly two years ago but not the other two. Clawdeen is Little Red Riding Hood and I think it's one of her prettiest dolls. Like many other Target exclusive lines, I'm now only missing Draculaura. (In Power Ghouls I'm missing Toralei and Sweet Screams I'm missing Frankie). Nonetheless, she was definitely one of my most wanted dolls,

I ♥ Fashion Iris Clops

Ever since Iris was announced as the 2014 SDCC doll, I was really excited for her to have a widespread release. Since Scarah and Wydowna both got I♥F dolls, I was eagerly awaiting Iris to get hers! I love her and she is definitely one of my favourite new ghouls.

Study Abroad Yasmin, Cloe and Raya

I'm really surprised I requested these myself, but something about them really appeals to the nostalgic side of me. I remember receiving an entire set of these in 2003 that my dad went to several stores to find because they were all sold out. I don't know Raya, but I had Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, Jade and Meygan. I love that these are very reminiscent of those same dolls. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the trendy speak on the boxes and they're a little hard for me to relate to at my age but I think their clothes and style is adorable. Sometimes it's nice to have dolls with 'regular' clothes.

I really like the Study Abroad dolls. I love different countries inspired fashions even if they're a little (or very) stereotypical. Cloe's is, admittedly, a little ridiculous. My favourite is Sasha but I haven't been able to find her.

Zelfs!

I got these particular Zelfs - Stardust, Rose-Anne and Batrina.

They are so cute! I love them! 

Unfortunately, right when I think that Zelf's are adorable and not creepy like I originally thought, they aren't being sold in the US anymore. :( I specifically requested a few Zelfs for Christmas because I want a few before they go away entirely. Stardust is my favourite, I love her colours.

Card Captor Sakura Bandai Figure & Twinkle Dolly Chibi Moon

I don't have any anime figures so I'm really happy to have this Sakura figure! I have always really liked the style of this anime but I have never watched it, which I should really change. Though I don't have a picture of inside the packaging, it is all laid out really well and I absolutely love it.

The Twinkle Dolly is really adorable too~!

Though it's quite small, I absolutely love Chibi Moon and Luna P. I got a matching Sailor Moon one on my birthday that I had in my birthday post as well.

Nothing that different from my update in November~
Thankfully since switching medication I've been a lot less tired.

My Thanksgiving was lovely but I was very tired that day
My anxiety has also been at an all time high lately as well
Thus I have been mainly playing games and watching movies in spare time...
Avoiding interaction is not ideal but I am trying to fix it
Hopefully December is better!
