Ever After High Haul

 My latest additions to my Ever After High Signature collection~!

Cedar Wood and Lizzie Hearts.

Cedar looks very close to her promotional image

Lizzie on the other hand... Not so much.

Her hair is obviously missing the big poofs at the top

and just the overall general fullness of her outfit.

I don't love her any less, but find myself a little underwhelmed!

She has always been a pretty doll but in person, she's really surprised me!

I don't know if I just got lucky with mine, but to me she is very gorgeous!

Her hair looks very soft/curly and she has lots of lavender in her hair

I'm just really happy to own her now, I've seen her in the store only once.

Lizzie up close~

She looks super teeny in the box, even smaller than Maddie

I, again, attribute this to her looking not very full?

Her hair is very flat, as is her outfit..

I know it may seem like I don't like Lizzie much from what I say :p

But I just had high expectations because she's my favourite character

I've seen her once in person at a Justice but I think I was too excited to fully look at her She's still a very cute doll, but missing that special something. I'm sure out of box and styled she's great though, though my signatures stay MIB

                   

My reasons for getting these dolls now is because I know they are getting slim box releases. As most Ever After High fans know, the original Signatures are being released with less details. It's a little disappointing but I understand if they are doing this to cut costs. Because of this, however, I felt I needed to jump to get these so I don't miss out. These were the only Signature releases that I was missing and I'd absolutely kick myself at missing out on them. Now, I feel happy that I have completed the original Signature collection.

I am looking forward to Duchess and Kitty a lot but can't help but be a little disappointed that they had discontinued this style of boxes though they were impractical and big, they were unique and look very cute on my shelf.

Series that I have finished in 2015 [Sailor Moon]

Sailor Moon! 

Okay, I technically finished this in 2014, but at the very end. Unlike most little girls in the 90's, I actually didn't grow up watching this. I even lived in Japan during the end of it's run but while my friends were interested in Sailor Moon, I was more interested in Disney Princesses and pop stars such as the Spice Girls. A year ago I wouldn't have been able to name any of them. I had watched magical girl series before and have definitely been interested in anime/manga for a long time but Sailor Moon never seemed to interest me. I decided to give this series a try about six months ago because I was curious about the reboot and figured that I should watch the old one before I watch the new one. Little did I know that I would grow to totally love this story and world and become so invested in the characters. Despite it being older, it was still very funny, enjoyable and most definitely emotional at times. I originally watched this because of the reboot but ironically felt that I could not connect to the new one as much as the older one even though I had originally just watched it to get a feel for the story. It ended up turning into so much more than that.

I have since watched the movies and loved the musicals and have bought some merchandise. I had owned a Sailor Moon poster for a long time that I found in a random shop years ago but now have a reason to hang it up. I will probably tune back into Crystal for the R season since that was my favourite in the old anime series with S being a close second. 

My favourite characters are Chibi-usa, Saturn, and ChibiChibi.

Though, I really do love all of the Senshi

Especially Usagi~

I am now proud to call myself a Moonie even though I was a late bloomer!
But I have definitely seen the Sailor Moon light and realize now why it redefined the Mahou Shoujo genre.

I love to collect dolls, mainly Monster High/Ever After High.

I also love My Little Pony, Pullips, and various other dolls !

Also am a fan of Japanese Idols (ala AKB and H!P) and anime/manga.

I especially love Sailor Moon!
