Vape Mail Part 2

Got second package of Vape Mail today from DiscountVapers.
Fairly quick shipping as I ordered Sunday and it got here today (Thursday.)
Everything came as expected and nicely packed away.

Came packaged nicely in it's little bubble wrap home. Altogether it was an Ego Variable Voltage 900mah battery, Kanger T2, and two aluminum drip tips. The ego is nice and only 14$ which is very cheap for a variable voltage. Sure, it won't work as well as a twist, but I think it's nice for a starter battery. Came nearly fully charged and you need to click it three times to change the voltages. You can see the voltages by what colour the button turns when you puff. Green is 3.2, Blue is 3.7 and Red is 4.2+. It has a nice smooth feel to it and it's a great little handy battery so far. This was for the boyfriend so I think he is quite happy about it. For his battery, I also suggested that he get a Kanger T2 as well. I guess I didn't notice it well enough but it came with the short wicks. I think the longer wicks on the newer ones are much better but they are doable for now. They are just a little harder to get back into the body and to keep the wicks properly saturated if it gets too low. We also got replacement drip tips because I've heard some bad things about the plastic ones and I've also been getting a weird reaction to one of mine which I have since thrown away. Overall, for all of this is was only 26.78 which was a good deal~

I wasn't sure how the purple aluminum tip would look on mine since it looked extremely shiny on the website. I am very happy because it matches my battery and clearomizers very perfectly ! I like this a lot more than the black drip tip. For his, he opted for the blue clearomizer and I think it looks nice with his black battery/tip set-up. I am happy trying these batteries as we had only used 510's and I wasn't really liking how teeny they were and I definitely like the overall weight and look of these. Overall, for this whole set - up, it was around ~57$ for the two batteries, two clearomizers, the drip tips and a charger. I am very pleased.

I would definitely recommend vaporalley and discountvapers.

Amazon Editors Choice

I seemed to totally forget I had a 5$ off coupon off of select games on Amazon.
So, I checked the sales and saw that Fable 3 and Fable Lost Chapters were on it for 10$.
With the coupon it comes to a total of 5$. I think 2.50 for each game is a pretty good deal and I'm glad I caught it since the coupon expires today. I've played a little Fable 3 before and though it wasn't super impressive, I'll give it another shot. I haven't played The Lost Chapters at all so I'm willing to give that a try.

Vape Mail

Got vapemail awhile ago~!
If one does not know what these things are,  you can easily do research on them to find out they are an electronic cigarette and an alternative to real smoking. No tobacco, none of the harmful burning and easily much better for you than smoking. Do the research before you judge them outright.

I got these from vaporalley. I ordered these on January 22nd and they shipped the same day. I ended up getting it the following Saturday so four days was nice. I ordered an Ego Queen battery in 900mah and since I've received it, I haven't even needed to charge it yet as of today and I've been using it quite a bit. I was previously using a 510 from the "free" Victory kit and this has been very impressive so far. I got the design in Q12 which has hearts and a cute little piggy in a big heart. I really like it and think it's cute and perfect sized. I didn't aim for 1100mah since I thought it would be too long for me. It has a five click on and off option and you press it when you take a drag. I really like the manual battery over an automatic. I notice a lot more power and warmth than before as well. I didn't opt for a variable voltage just because this design really appealed to me but my boyfriend has one coming in the mail that I will review as well.

I also got a Kanger T2 clearomizer in purple. Since I've only been using cartomizers, a clearomizer was interesting and new to try. It has been exceptional so far with no leaking and great vapor production. I've been using my e-liquid in cartomizers and I have to say I like it a bit more in the clearomizer. I like that I can see the e-liquid level. It was extremely easy to fill and it lasts all day for me, whereas with the cartomizer I have to be careful in filling it and I always tended to overfill a little where it leaked out the bottom. I haven't experienced a dry or a burnt hit with it so far and I let it get down pretty low. It is also very easy to clean, I just rinse it under hot water and let it dry overnight. I've read that using vodka is also a good method but I don't have any on hand. I wash it every time I go through a tank. I don't really see the coils so I don't know about dry burning them. I am regretting not buying more of them so I can switch my flavours more easily. The only other big downside is that my tip is forming some strange residue from either a reaction from my eliquid or something. I'm holding off on using it for now as I have ordered new aluminum tips from discountvapers. I really do like these clearomizers and I'd recommend them. I haven't tried a Vivi Nova or Kanger T3's but so far I am happy with this. The fact that they have replaceable heads is a huge plus as they are only a dollar each and I can see them lasting awhile at this rate, making it very economically friendly.

I ordered these juices from Mt Baker Vapor.
I highly recommend them. They have the best price for e-liquid by far and their shipping is very fast! I ordered on the 19th and got it on the 22nd from Washington. For 15ml's, their prices are 5$ and gets cheaper the more you get. As I've never tried some flavours before, I decided to not opt for the big ones as I wasn't sure what I'd end up liking. They also give you a free 15ml for orders over 15$! Brilliant.

I got Blue Ice, Whiteout, Cinnamon Roll, Double Apple and Candy Cane Coffee.
These flavours have all been steeping for a week and a half so far and I've also given them a hot water bath to speed up the process. I also ordered the house blend which is 80% PG and 20%VG.

Blue Ice - An icy blueberry flavour. I'm not a huge fan of this. I think from this batch, I have learned I am not a big fan of the fruity flavours. They tend to almost taste too chemical to me and I'm just not a big fan of it right now. My SO likes this one quite a bit though. I think I'll stick to straight menthol in the future.

White Out - Very nice. It is a little hard to describe the flavour. It is a sweet mint that reminds me a little of a chocolate flavour. People have mentioned that this tastes like a white tic tac and I think that description is pretty spot on. This was good without any steeping. It's refreshing and I like this before bedtime. It's my second favourite from this batch.

Cinnamon Roll - Hands down, my favourite. This is a definite all day vape. Without any steeping, this tasted absolutely amazing. The cinnamon flavour is very apparent on the inhale with a slight doughy taste and the exhale tastes sweet like frosting. I vaped a tank and I just want more. It isn't overtly sweet, it is perfect. It tastes just like a cinnamon roll. I will definitely need more of this in the future.

Double Apple - I don't love this. The interesting thing is the steeping time is making it turn a little green which is cool. The Blue Ice is also turning a little blue, I think. I'll repeat my sentiments that I just don't think I'm meshing well with fruity flavours. This had great reviews but it isn't registering well with me.

Candy Cane Coffee - Bleh. I'm not liking this at all. I was expecting this to be a great morning vape but I'm not loving it. It is far too bitter and has too much of a weird earthy vibe to it. It's just too strong for me. It has a strange dark taste to it. I'm hoping with some steeping it will become better.

Anyways~ I hope to try more flavours in the future! The next ones I'm looking to get is Extreme Ice, Butterscotch, Sweet Cream and Banana Nut Bread. I think I will like the more bakery / sweet type flavours now that I've sampled these. I hope to get into DIY in the future as well.

Annie

Ugh, new Annie Splash Art  nooooooooooooo
I hate these ugly Cruella Deville eyebrows they keep giving her.

And all the new makeup that's on her face that makes her look like
a little kids body with the face of an older lady.
And tibbers looks like Maokai but in bear form.
Beh. >:| I miss her cute adorable mean baby scowl.
With a creepy smiley tibbers in the background.

In her little cave full of toys.

Potato

Unknown to my knowledge, you can steam potato's in a rice cooker. Why have I never done this before?
Baking potatoes is an unpleasant and long process for me and I usually got lazy and microwaved. .
But with rice cooker, I added a cup of water under the steam basket and it cooked in about half an hour n_n
Very easy, no fuss ! They turned out perfectly nummy.

I can just live on potatoes. They fill me up and taste fine by themselves.
I'll sometimes use a dressing like the one I've bought above.. very tasty~
I will definitely be doing more of this in the future. ^ _ ^

Yearly Last FM Stats

I have now been a member of my current Last.fm account for four years now. I had old ones from around 2006 but I never stuck around with them that much beyond a few hundred plays. I don't know why but I just haven't got tired of using it yet. My tastes have changed a lot in the past four years with the first year being nothing but idols/jpop. Over the years, western artists have been incorporated more into my library. I will list my top five artists of January 26 2012-January 26 2013.

1. Ayumi Hamasaki - 3,973 plays
2. One Direction - 1,457
3. AKB48 - 1,369
4. Depeche Mode - 811
5. Rurutia - 619

Ayu being my number one again this year isn't a huge surprise. Her music suits my every mood and I feel like I am constantly listening to her. Her albums range from classical to electronic to trance to pop to rock. Anything off her albums can suit my mood. One Direction being second is a surprise. I didn't realize I listened to them so much this year. I can't see this lasting as their albums don't make a huge impression but they obviously did to me last year. AKB48, Depeche Mode, and Rurutia are normal artists every year to show up this isn't much new. Nishino Kana and Morning Musume were the artists to drop out this year.

Here are my most played songs in the past year.

1. AKB48 - UZA 321 plays
2. Fairies - White Angel 107 plays
3. One Direction - Save You Tonight 105 plays
4. One Direction - I Wish 103 plays
5. Fairies - One Love 101 plays

I loved Uza and it is absolutely one of my favourite AKB48 songs in the past year. It is probably one of their top 5 singles for me. Fairies is relatively new and this single really caught my attention. I felt myself constantly playing both of those songs on repeat. One Direction is to be expected but these two songs aren't my favourites so I'm wondering how they ended up so high.

Now.. let's look at my total stats from January 2009 to January 2013.

Overall, my top artists remain -
1. Ayumi Hamasaki - 23,862 plays
2. AKB48 - 11,102 plays
3. Morning Musume - 8, 257
4. Nishino Kana - 3,188
5. Depeche Mode 3,061

So.. as I have states above, Nishino and Morning Musume are the only ones to drop out of my ranks this year. I really loved Morning Musume at the very beginning and listened to them a lot but now this shows that other artists have come through to my attention. I'm always curious to do these to see how my music tastes change, if at all. One thing's for sure, Ayu will always be my queen.

And.. my top played songs ever on last.fm so far...

1. AKB48 - Beginner 689 plays
2. Itano Tomomi - Dear J 447 plays
3. Nishino Kana - Distance 388 plays
4. Ayu - Last Angel 347 plays
5. AKB48 - UZA 321

I would say.. this is very accurate. I absolutely played the shit out of Beginner. I guess I just really love AKB's 'cool' songs. Uza also sneaked into my top songs ever ranking. Dear J, Distance and Last Angel remain some of my favourite songs in the past two years. I was absolutely addicted to them when they came out. I still love and enjoy them. Distance will always be a meaningful song to me.

Okay that is it for this year  now !
Let's see what next year brings

Random Ayu Song of the Day

n d R o l l
And then I walk on
I’m trying to walk on my own
I hope there can be light on my path
Even though you’re not on it anymore

People are sad

Are people sad?
It's all right if I think
That people are happy, isn't it?

And so I walk on
You’re walking on too, right?
I hope there can be light on our paths
Even though they’re separate

Anastasia

I used to really love this movie in my youth.  Most people usually mistook it for a Disney movie but  it was actually by Fox Animation. I used to have paper dolls from these movies and Dimitri was probably my first cartoon crush (besides Aladdin). It wasn't until years later I discovered the tragic history behind the Romanov family and it wasn't happy songs and fun adventures. The mystery was put to rest in 2008 when the remaining royal siblings were found and that nobody escaped. This led me to being fascinated with Imperial Russia when I was in middle school and traveled to Cincinatti over a weekend back around 2005 to visit a museum exhibit dedicated to them which contained real photo's and belongings. The movie is still lovely despite the tragic past and reminds me a lot of my childhood. The songs will forever be embedded in my memory and make me feel a bit nostalgic.

Poupee Girl

Was doing my daily coordinate today and I got a rare item today! Cute, it matches the dress I got yesterday. While I was saving I noticed it was a different background and there was a new event going on. Winter sports aren't something that really interest me so I'm glad I'll save ribbons on this event. I tried my best winter sports coord with what I have, which isnt much.

Poupée Girl

Poupee Girl. I have not logged into this page in forever! I rediscovered it lately looking through links and the last time I actively played was early 2010.  This is a very cute site aimed towards fashion conscious girls. The whole idea is that you get this doll that you can dress up with clothes that you buy from the stores and the 'furima' marketplace. I started playing back in September 2008 feels like forever ago. I have found that old limited items I have bought in the past are now worth a small fortune and it's very interesting to see how the site has changed. I forgot how fun it is to post on there. You earn ribbons by commenting on other people's items, dressing up your characters and posting your own clothes/beauty items. It was interesting that the latest clothes I posted are now four years old. The rules have always been a bit strict on what you can post and I left when it got a little ridiculous and people were getting banned for silly reasons. I left when they also implemented "jewels" which was the currency that you could only buy with real money. They started releasing jewel only items and I felt a bit left out as I couldn't spent any money on them. Now, it doesn't bother me as much and I'm happy with the new clothes always coming out. It's a nice daily activity and I'm glad I have found it again. This will go once again into my internet rotation~!

Random Ayu Song of the Day

O W D E R S N O W

Can I cry as much as I want?
Until my tears dry up?
Now the white snowflakes
Will fall and muffle my tears

Can I scream at the top of my lungs?
Until I lose my voice?
Now the white snowflakes
Will forgive everything

Can I cry as much as I want?
Until my tears dry up?
Can I scream at the top of my lungs?
Until I lose my voice?

Can I cry as much as I want?
Can I scream at the top of my lungs?
Until the snow stops

Morning Musume - Help Me

New Morning Musume Single~
Help Me!!!

I actually like this song, it's quite catchy
But this PV.. I'm not really feeling it. Most of Morning Musume's PV's don't appeal to me either but I just wish it just looked.. nicer sometimes. It just always looks so cheap. The costumes don't really appeal to me but I do like the variation of them (rather than just varying the colours like they usually do). The super computerized backgrounds look like a dating sim and the CGI looks funky in some places. I do like the choreography and think it's interesting so I think I fancy myself the dance shot version a bit more.

On an off hand note, I like how in some places if anybody critisizes anything Hello!Project, you are deemed a ~hater~ and blame you for not blindly loving everything. I feel bad for people who try to express their opinion. It's like damn, people have different tastes. If one likes it, more power to them. If not, why should we disagree with their opinion? Liking things are subjective and it's interesting to see a different point of view. I see people hate on my bb Riho every day but I'm like, meh~ I think she's lovely and amazing and other's don't see what I see. I'm not a huge fan of Zukki or the newly added Oda but I see many fawn over them and I feel like if I expressed that, I'd be deemed as only liking ~popular~ girls because I can't see their amazing selfs and that I don't appreciate a 'good singer' (lol). It's a bit too sensitive sometimes. I just think criticizing a young girl and hating her is a little more extreme than disliking a music video but yet you're hated if you even think of criticizing the video! Yet, everyone can talk about how much Riho sucks bandwagon! Oh well, I've learned to accept it in this fandom. I've always liked the not so popular* girls anyways a la Koharu, who was hated on more than one occasion. I understand that people dislike Riho because they don't think she should be pushed or be center but I'm in it for the idols and not the line distribution.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll keep watching from the sidelines.
I understand I contradicted myself in this post a little by saying that people can have their own opinions, but it feels like that with everything in hello!project with the exception of Riho (or other hated girls such as Risako/Koharu). It gets a little tiring to hear about how you just can't see how ~amazing~ these songs and PV's are and yet there's pages of forum talks about how Riho sucks. It doesn't bother me, but it gets tiring. Songs and music videos on the other hand are much more highly objective.

*and by not popular, I mean to the western fanbase. Riho and Risako are highly popular in Japan. I sense that western fandoms seems to love underdogs.

Ipsy January 2013

These will be fun monthly posts.
My pictures are a little uglier this time around since I took them around midnight, oop.
I got this bag on the 15th which was a teeny bit longer than my last one that got here the 12th.
But, I'm very happy with the service and it always seems to be a good deal~

This is everything that came in my bag this month. However I'm really not a big fan of the actual bag this month. The texture and colour.. just doesn't appeal to me. It is a nice size but it just feels and sounds weird when I touch it. The most surprising thing about this month is the distinct lack of make-up which others may not like but I appreciate the variety this early in my subscription. The early previews didn't leave me too excited but I still think it's a great deal for 10$ a month and this bag is more than worth it. I looked most forward to the Josie Maran Argan Oil. When I opened the package, I found everything to be remarkably cold as well. It was a little difficult getting the lid off of the hairspray but thankfully nothing was damaged.

The interior of the bag! It's pretty cute. Unfortunately, the outside is just too ugly imo. :p
Here is what you get in the bag..
.

♥ Nailtini Nail Lacquer [Full Size | 13$]
I was looking forward to this the least because I'm just not a huge fan of red nail polish. It comes in a surprisingly big bottle and I doubt I could ever use it all. They were sending out two "classic" colours. Red or a light milky pink (Bloody Mary or Frappe). I was hoping for the pink! I don't really know how they determine choosing the colours. It seems nice though and maybe I can gift it in the future. The nailpolish is the most expensive thing in this bag and though it is a good deal, the colour isn't for me.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil [Sample Size | ~5$]
I was looking forward to this the most as I've heard really good things about it after seeing the previews and before this, I never really knew much about Argan Oil. After hearing amazing benefits for skin/hair/nails I was really eager to give this a try! I expected it to be quite small but even for a .17 ounce size, I can tell it will last quite a bit if I only use it on my face. On the packaging it states that it clinically improves skins smoothness, hydration, and elasticity in four weeks. I used this on my damp face at night after cleansing and used just the tiniest bit and yet it was still too much and I was a bit too oily. You only need a very small amount to pat on your face for it to work. I wasn't sure if you put this under a night cream, but I did. I can't attest for any results considering I've only used this a couple of times but I'm eager to see how it will work in the future. I won't run out for awhile but this is one I'd consider buying full size after this sample.

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter [Mini Size | ~3$]
I was also looking forward to trying this because body butters are really nice and really moisturize the skin. This was a bit smaller than I expected at 2.5 ounces but it's still a nice usable size. I will say that I heard rave reviews about the scent of this but I'm not a big fan unfortunately. I guess I just don't like citrus scents and this smells exactly like oranges. It is very potent and the texture and feeling is fantastic! But.. I'm not in love with the scent. I feel like this is much more suited to Summer time so I think I will stash it away until then.

Sexy Hair Volumizing Hairspray [Mini Size | ~2$]
Besides the nail polish, this is also what I least looked forward to. I don't really use hairsprays and I would rather just buy a cheaper brand but this is a convenient little travel size. I will keep this in a bag and maybe one day I will find the opportunity to whip it out and use it. Until then, this won't see much use!

♥ SOHO Concealer Brush [~8$]
I'm glad they included something different, like a brush. There was three options you could get which was a concealer, crease, or eyeliner brush. I'm glad they are varying things up because it means a surprise in the bag even after you spoil yourselves! I surely can't help myself. This is a nice, basic brush that is decent quality. It isn't amazing but I'm always happy to get new makeup brushes to play with.

Overall, this bag was a good deal and it introduced me to products like the Argan Oil which otherwise I would've never paid attention to. I really like that it's more based around hair/skin and not so much about make-up. Though I've only been subscribed for two months so far, I'm sure it provides a nice change of pace. I'm really loving ipsy so far and it makes me really excited to get a new bag of goodies every month. The days leading up to it with all the spoilers is all part of the fun too. ◕‿‿◕

The whole worth was around ~30 dollars.
A bit less than last months but still completely worth it at 10$!
I'm really excited for what they'll do for February. I'm hoping for something cute around Valentines~

les amis de l'abc

I already posted about Eponine's changed song in the French Concept Version
of Les Miserables.. but I had to post this one as well.

The Friends of the ABC.. now just the beginning of Red and Black
I just find it hilarious how disco this songs sounds. I was like, lolwut?
I feel like this should have been kept, tbh. It is rather funky.

And I would enjoy this complete with some disco balls and dancing.

European Assortment Cookies

I posted about this ridiculously long yard of cookies awhile back.
I actually.. ended up eating almost all of them. There was..
deceptively less cookies than I imagined, heh.

It came with three of these~
Feels like most of it was packaging x__x
And thiiis is what came inside of them.
They are all actually quite tasty...
The rolly cookie was sweet. The wafer, chocolate chip cookie and the seashell cookie failed because they just weren't sweet enough.. which was strange. The two chocolate covered cookies were really nice, one had coconut and was a thin cookie/cracker like and the other one was covered completely in chocolate with a chocolate cookie interior. I also really enjoyed the biscuit-like cookies as well. I just love cookies especially if they aren't too sweet but the three mentioned ones didn't have any sweetness at all.
This is how many there were each~
4 roll cookies
4 chocolate thin cookies
4 chocolate covered cookies
3 chocolate chip cookies
4 seashell cookies
8 biscuits
2 wafers

So... not too much each! I thought I wouldn't go through these, but it was easy. :3 A serving size is 4 cookies at 150 calories. I have no idea where one would find this yard or brand of cookies but I just felt like talking about cookies. These were enjoyable and perfect sweetness and lack of sweetness if you're into that
