Large Bratz Haul (Snow Kissed, Study Abroad, Metallic Madness)~!

Got a new haul of Bratz dolls
From Amazon and Target~
So, let me share the ones I got!

image

From Amazon
(Each doll was less than 5 dollars, so that was great!)
Snow Kissed Yasmin
Study Abroad Jade
My name is Raya

Snow Kissed Yasmin
I love, love, love Snow themed dolls for whatever reason. They just look so fluffy, sweet, and cute. I love everything about her main and her second outfit! Her make-up is also really sweet and glittery. For the value, she is great. She comes with her main outfit, a second outfit + shoes and a pair of Skis. I would love to get the others in this line, especially Cloe (who looks like a snow bunny~) Also, it is a little hard to spot, but her handle is white and fuzzy! A really cute touch.

Study Abroad Jade
Initially, I was a little unsure about her. Her outfit colours are really strange, but the prints on her second outfit are adorable! I love Russian themes so despite her main outfit, I really like her. I have a soft spot for that hat as well. I'm now only missing one from the first wave of this line which is London Sasha. Its sad because she is the one I want most!

My name is Raya
I have been wanting this doll for those shoes. If you can't tell, they are Hamburgers(!!!). How cool is that? I also think the other aspects of her outfit are adorable and I love the little bee bag. At first, I was confused to who Raya was thinking she was an older character, but apparently she is new to the 2015 line. Raya, to me, is like a mix of Cloe and Yasmin.

Here is my haul from Target!
I had to go to a Doctor's appointment yesterday (boo)
But! I was near a different Target, so I decided to check it out.
I happened to find these three cuties on clearance~
Metallic Madness Cloe
Metallic Madness Jade
Metallic Madness Raya

 Metallic Madness Cloe
I really love dance themed dolls and these are no exception! These dolls also come with cute handles! Cloe is my least favourite of these ones. I love the Metallic Madness Cloe with her and Cameron more). This one is still very cute though! Her hair looks really pretty on this doll and I like the soft makeup.

Metallic Madness Jade
First of all, I love her hair! I love the two buns. They're giving me Sailor Moon vibes just like Study Abroad Cloe. Jade always has interesting dolls and I really love her outfit and her secondary one (it looks super 80's!). Also her hair is slightly different from the other Jade dolls as it has a blue/black look to it which is very nice.

Metallic Madness Raya
There's a spot where her lipstick smeared on the front of the box and I see this most commonly with Raya dolls for whatever reason. Besides that, I love this doll! She is my favourite Metallic Madness doll and my favourite Raya doll in general! Her pink dress just absolutely speaks to me and I love her blue furry coat. I also think her red bag and bee shoes are adorable. Everything about this doll, I love! Unfortunately, her hair looks a little glue-y. Besides that, I love her!

One thing I really love about the Metallic Madness and Bratz dolls in general is that they come with many cute accessories. I really appreciate the secondary outfits and the fashion/shoe packs (that are desperately missing the past few years for MH). I've mentioned in another post that I love the customization of their outfits which I feel had been especially lacking in Monster High dolls lately. I've really been on a Bratz kick and I'm loving the new lines coming out too! (Like Music Festival, Sleepover, Study Abroad wave 2)

Oh, and as a bonus, this is what the other Target looked like. I've never seen the Monster High/EAH section so bare! They must have had clearanced them out and they're waiting for a restock. I was only able to find these lone Metallic Madness dolls in the clearance section.

Aaand here are all the dolls I have so far!
I'm pretty done with buying them for now so it's time to debox! (which is one of my least favourite activities, I'll admit :p) I have 12 of them total, so far! It seems like so much when I see them in the picture and then I remember I have over 150 Monster High dolls... Needing more shelves is a constant. I actually own all the characters equally so far (3 Cloe, 3 Jade, 3 Raya, 3 Yasmin) but I have no Sasha yet which is disappointing... She's the only character I haven't really found in stores, which I'm assuming because she's short packed. I really need to get her in the future!

Oh, and I also took a picture of the backs of their boxes! Though some of their phrases and hashtags are all slightly juvenile to me, I do like the pictures that supplement their personalities. (Also, there is actually a really crazy amount of differences between the back pictures and the actual doll but I'll make another post detailing those!)

My name is and Selfie Snaps

Metallic Madness

Study Abroad

... and a lone Snow Kissed!

Oh! and one more thing...
I honestly don't know how I didn't notice this until last night, but they changed the Bratz doll's eyebrows from the My name is/Selfie Snaps/Fierce Fitness series to the current ones-

The eyebrows are a HUUUGE upgrade in my opinion! One of my first feelings about the new release of Bratz dolls is that something about their face just felt very off and now I realize it was their really harsh eyebrows. I know it's similar to the older eyebrows, but they just don't look good. The newer ones give a much more modern and fresh look. Since it seems the newer series seems to be sticking with them, it makes me very happy!

Phew, that's it!
Hope you enjoyed reading about me rambling about Bratz dolls~

"My Name Is" Bratz Haul

My two latest Bratz doll purchases~
My name is Cloe/Jade are my latest dolls!

(If you told me a year ago I'd be buying so many Bratz, I would not believe you...)
I actually had a small Bratz collection when I was younger, around when they first came out. My dad went to all the stores during Christmas to pick me up each character but since they were sold out nearly everywhere, he had to go all over the place. It was the X-Press it line that came out in 2002.

I had a few others over the years too, some boy doll and from other lines I can't remember, but these ones sticks out to me the most. I really treasured them! Unfortunately, through a series of events, I do not have them anymore. After that, I did not pay attention to Bratz very much anymore since dolls were the last thing I cared about in my teenaged years.

When I started collecting Monster High, I was vaguely aware of their presence. At the time, the Bratzilla's were the ones that were mainly on the shelves. Then Bratz had announced their hiatus for a reboot and they disappeared altogether for a year-ish. When they reappeared once again, I was initially very put off by their features. Why put out a new "rebooted" line if they look so much like the original? But- little did I know that current Bratz dolls were pretty far off from what they had originally looked like when I had them. I realized that something about them really appeals to me.. perhaps it's the nostalgia in me talking but, I do like the softer faces but with the more traditional body of the older series and with more lines coming out, it doesn't look like I will stop liking them anytime soon!

Honestly, with the Monster High reboot, it seems my focus will be on Bratz for now. It seems there's been an opposite effect with me. With Monster High's new reboot with softer faces, I'm incredibly put off. I like the interesting features and strong looks. With Bratz, I didn't like their severe looks and styles but with this softer reboot, they're much more endearing. I'll have to keep an eye out on Monster High, but as for now, I don't know how I feel about that reboot yet.

Anyways! Onto these dolls~
I was initially not thinking about picking up Cloe since I really, really dislike her shoes (which I know you can't see from the pictures but they are cow print) and out of all the "My name is" dolls, she was the most bland. But, looking at her outfit and accessories apart from each other, it started to appeal to me. Also, she was so inexpensive, I thought, why not?

I really, really like this Jade. She's like a human version of MH Venus (mainly because of her half shaved hair). Her outfit didn't stand out to me much until I noticed she had small cats on her sleeves! Very adorable. I also love the kitty bag.

To me, another big appeal of Bratz dolls is that their overall outfits don't necessarily appeal to me much, but separately, I think they're interesting pieces. These will definitely be 'play' dolls for me as I have so many mix and match ideas for their clothing which I don't have with Monster High because I think they're pretty much great the way they are.

I ordered more so I expect another post like this in the next few days~!

Amnesia Memories Review

I mentioned in a few blog posts back that I bought Amnesia Memories during the Steam Winter sale. I really had no idea what this game was about other than it was an Otome Visual Novel. I also knew that it had to do with Amnesia (duh) and that there was an overarching story. I didn't put it on my "must play" log but earlier this week I decided to earn the trading cards and got completely sucked in and managed to finish the game this past weekend in about ~20 hours. I also didn't realize there was an anime until I finished the game so I also watched that. Even though it was a much more condensed version, I'll share my thoughts on that as well.

In order of favourite -> least favourite route.
(Note: This doesn't necessarily mean their characters)
1. Kent (Clover)
2. Ikki (Spade)
3. Ukyo (Joker)
4. Toma (Diamond)
5. Shin (Heart)

Anyway, here are my general thoughts and thoughts on each route!
Extreme spoilers ahoy~!

New Year Resolutions

image

I hope you all had an enjoyable New Years day~!
I thought I'd share ten resolutions I have made for myself in 2016~

image

1) Be more mindful of my overall mental and physical health.

2) Cook more! Maybe watching Food Channel has inspired the foodie in me, but I want to cook more in the kitchen and try to make lots of new things. More vegetables. Less pizza. (I know some people make resolutions to drink more water but I have never had a problem with that. My problem is the unhealthy foods.)

3) Get fitter and lose a couple of pounds in the process. I am not particularly large but I can do with a little less belly and a little more toning. I want to lose at least 10 pounds by my birthday.

4) Attend my first Con, finally! I had never really had the chance to go to an Anime con but I really want to go to my first one this year. (and with that, wear my first cosplay too~)

5) Try to stay consistent with song dubbing.

6) Be much more consistent with blogging and social media.

7) Try to interact more with others. Out of everything, this may be the hardest.

8) Move. I don't care where, but just move out of Michigan.

9) Start downsizing and getting rid of toys and clothes I don't need.

10) Dress up more. Learn more hair and makeup styles. Get better at coordinating outfits.

These are my main resolutions for the year!
I hope you all welcome in the new year happily~
