ELF Palettes

These are fairly old but since I was taking pictures of various make-up things and talking about ELF I might as well shared my thoughts on these little palettes. The top two I purchased two years ago for 5$ each, I think. I bought them in Canada complete with the complimentary french. The bottom one I bought 50% off for 5$ as well about a year ago. They are really worth it, in my opinion. You get quite a few different eyeshadows to try and loads of colours. Naturally, there are some colours that don't have a great payoff or won't stay on but with a primer it works pretty well. I've [accidentally] slept with these shadows on sometimes and the shadow is still there the next morning. For a lot of pretty colours to try, I think it's worth a shot! The bottom one comes with 100 decent sized little mini shadows.

While making this, I accidentally deleted this area so I am annoyed with myself!
Anyways, the left is the Smokey Eye edition and the right is the Eye Brights.

They come in these cute little books that have some instructions in the front on how to use this makeup. It comes with a little mirror as well that isn't too bad. There have been worst compact mirrors. I forget what came in the bottom but I think it was an eyeliner and maybe those little eyeshadow diddys. There is obviously a lot of fallout from some of these shadows as you can tell with it being everywhere. For my right one as well, when I first received it, one of my shadows was already broken. It seemed to be a powdery white one like the one of the left which is a bit of a dud so it isn't a big loss. As with a lot of their products, there are some really nice colours in here as well as some useless ones. Usually the glittery ones with a lot of fallout are the ones that go on fairly well. There are some that are quite hard though and don't translate well on my eyelids. Overall, I think they are definitely worth a try because it saves me from having to buy loads of little individual shadows and it's fun to try new colours without committing to something super expensive.
