Ayumi Hamasaki turns 36 today and still remains my personal idol and favourite singer. She was born October 2nd, 1978 in Fukuoka, Japan. In 1998, she debuted as a singer under avex and over the years has made a lasting impression as one of the most influential Japanese artists with 37 #1 singles and selling over 53 millions records in Japan alone. These accomplishments have rightfully earned her the title of "Empress of Jpop" as she is the top selling solo artist and the 5th best selling artist in Japanese history. She has been inspiring me for over 10 years now and I am proud to say that I have always and will always be a great fan to her. ♥
